The Smart Hive is a custom-built horizontal hive. The attention to detail rivals what you would find in high-end custom cabinetry.

The horizontal Smart Hive’s built-in stand provides a convenient working height that eliminates stacking and unstacking the extremely heavy boxes of a traditional vertical hive. Deeps and supers on a traditional Langstroth hive routinely weigh 50 to 70+ pounds.

The roof is covered with copper-colored aluminum. The Smart Hive looks beautiful and will keep your bees dry for years to come!

The hinged roof is super easy to open and close for routine inspections. There is a built-in backstop to keep the lid from over-extending. The Smart Hive roof also eliminates the need for a heavy object to secure a telescoping lid, further reducing back strain.

Last but not least, the Smart Hive features a built-in observation window behind a cabinet-style hinged panel. Perfect for those sneak peaks or show-and-tell moments with friends and family.
