Apivar

Apivar strips is a widely used treatment for controlling Varroa mites. Apivar can be used all year round as long as there is activity in the hive because the treatment works through contact. You don't need to worry about temperature constraints or monitor your thermometer during the treatment, which can be less stressful for you and your colonies.

Applying Apivar is easy - just place one strip for every five frames of bees, typically using two strips per brood chamber. A single application is sufficient for a complete treatment.
